Neighbour’s
goading led
to threats

AN assault victim dropped ten dress sizes worrying about a court case involving her
neighbour.

Sharon Miller went from a size 18 to a size eight in nine months because of “acute anxiety” over her prosecution.

She said she snapped when the “neighbour from hell” she’d given evidence against “goaded” her outside court.

She shouted threats at the man convicted of attacking her and made a throat-slitting gesture with her hand, telling him: “You were dead when I was walking. You don’t know the people I know.”

Livingston Sheriff Court was told that her reaction was linked to the stress of giving evidence for the prosecution in the assault case.

Miller, 39, of Livingston, West Lothian, appeared for sentence after pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening manner on October 16.

Sheriff Robert Fife fined Miller £300.
