Napier staff mount Munro challenge

STAFF at Edinburgh Napier University have begun a challenge to climb four Munros in 24 hours to raise thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice charity.

The group expects to raise nearly £7000 for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

They will tackle the four most northerly Munros – Ben More Assynt, Conival, Ben Klibreck and Ben Hope – and hope to finish their marathon walk sometime today.

The university team has trained for six months for the fundraiser, which organisers said had tested their
endurance, determination and commitment.

Graeme Bishop, head of campus services at the
university, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the
support from colleagues,
suppliers and friends for this challenge.”
