Muirhouse woman hurt in house fire

A WOMAN has been treated in hospital after a kitchen fire in the north of the Capital.

Firefighters and medics rushed to the scene of the blaze in Muirhouse Drive after receiving an emergency call just before 10.20am yesterday.

They said they found the kitchen of a semi-detached property well alight.

A 48-year-old woman was treated for smoke inhalation by firefighters before medics took her to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
