More battery recycle places

THE number of battery recycling facilities in the Capital is on the rise.

A recent EU directive has made it easier to access the facilities through the city council, while many supermarkets are now offering facilities.

Colinton and Fairmilehead councillor Jason Rust said that he has had complaints about the lack of battery recycling in the city.

"I am delighted more facilities are becoming available for battery recycling and it is important to make use of them," he said.
