Meadowbank flat shooting victim named

A GUNSHOT victim whose body was found in a flat has been named by police.

The body of Dodou Leigh, a 30-year-old Gambian national who lived in Meadowbank, was found at the property in Hawkhill Close, off Easter Road, on Tuesday after police were called to a sixth-floor flat.

Two men, aged 25 and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged murder, and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

A postmortem confirmed Mr Leigh suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his abdomen.
