Maths student Ryan has it all figured out
A MATHS student at Heriot-Watt University is looking set for business success after being named Scotland and Northern Ireland's Most Enterprising Student.
Ryan Magee, 23, beat 11 other students to win the award, which was handed out at a ceremony at The Hub on Wednesday.
He took part in Shell Step's undergraduate placement programme and, while on a work placement programme at Delta Print and Packaging UK in Belfast, he investigated the use of plants as an alternative, sustainable source of materials and bio-fuel for the printed packaging company.
Mr Magee said: "The Shell Step placement has given me the opportunity to be a head above other graduates when I'm looking for a job."
He will go forward to the UK final.
