Mash attack woman free

A WOMAN has walked free from court despite admitting attacking her partner with a potato masher.

Carol Wallace picked up the implement and threw it at John Toomey, striking him on the head. Wallace, 44, of Whitburn, West Lothian, appeared for sentence at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday after pleading guilty to culpable and reckless conduct.

Admonishing her, Sherriff Gerald Warner told her: “I think you’re rather lucky to be admonished. I don’t think you can count on this disposal again.”
