Market goes extra Quartermile to showcase produce

A NEW market showcasing Scottish produce will be launched on Sunday at Quartermile.

A variety of vendors will sell a range of goods, including fresh cheese, oats, cupcakes, fresh-cut flowers, jewellery, handmade soap and Japanese cuisine in Lister Square from 11am to 4pm.

Shops and cafes at Quartermile will be open, including Swedish bakery Peter’s Yard, independent book store Looking Glass Books and Malaysian restaurant Nanyang.

Lorraine Paterson, sales and marketing director at Quartermile, said: “We’re delighted to introduce the new Quartermile Market. As well as bringing an exciting range of products to the local area, it will provide the ideal opportunity to bring the community together.

“Everyone is welcome to come along to Quartermile to discover what the market has to offer. If successful we hope to hold the markets on a regular basis with special, themed markets being held throughout the year.”
