Man remanded over murder of pensioner
A man has appeared in court charged with murdering an elderly woman.
Kathleen Milward, 87, was found dead at her home in Brodie Place in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire at about 8.30pm on Wednesday January 3.
Garry Kane appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court yesterday where he made no plea and was remanded in custody.
The 40-year-old from Motherwell will return to court later this month.
