Man in court over flat siege
A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and serious assault following an alleged siege in a flat at the weekend.
Two men were arrested on Saturday by police after allegedly barricading themselves in a house in Moorhill Crescent, Newton Mearns and setting fire to it.
The 50-year-old householder suffered from smoke inhalation, while his friend was alleged to have been seriously assaulted.
Ryan Doyle, 22, from Newton Mearns, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday accused of attempted murder, assault to severe injury and breach of the peace.
Kevin Crossan, 24, appeared on Monday on the same charges.
