Man charged after pensioner hospitalised by mugging
A MAN has been arrested and charged over the mugging of a pensioner who was hospitalised after the attack.
The 20-year-old man was charged in connection with the handbag snatch carried out as the victim walked through the tunnel leading from Bingham to Craigmillar at around 8am on 22 January.
The 62-year-old woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment on a shoulder injury following the incident.
The man was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
