Man arrested in connection with Govan murder
A man been arrested in connection with a murder in a Glasgow street yesterday morning.
The body of Gary Logue, 48, was discovered in Elderpark Street in the Govan area of the city at around 4.10am on Tuesday.
Police said they received an anonymous call informing them that a man was lying in the street.
They found Mr Logue, from the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, seriously injured with stab wounds.
He was taken by ambulance to Southern General Hospital but was dead on arrival.
Strathclyde Police launched a murder inquiry last night following a post-mortem examination.
Officers have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the death and he will remain in police custody ahead of an appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
A full report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
