Man stabbed outside city centre kebab shop
A YOUNG man was stabbed outside a kebab shop on a city-centre street in what police have described as a “totally unprovoked” attack.
The 22-year-old and his friend were near Bistro, in Renfield Street, near the junction of West George Street, Glasgow, when he was seriously assaulted by two men. He was punched on the head and body and stabbed at about 2:30am yesterday, police said. The man was taken to the city’s Royal Infirmary, where he was treated and later released.
Police said the attackers, both described as being white, early 20s and about 5ft 10in, were last seen on West George Street.
The first suspect, who has a stocky build, was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit and green trainers.
The second man had short, black hair and a round face, and wore a black tracksuit and a white top with black sleeves.
