Man’s guilty plea to rape attempt

A PERVERT who told an escort girl “I’m gonna get you pregnant” when she offered him a massage has admitted attempting to rape her.

Painter and decorator James Lilley, 32, arranged for the £100-an-hour sauna worker to visit him at his Livingston home.

However, after she had undressed and helped him shower, Lilley became “aggressive”, advocate depute David Nicolson told the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday.

Lilley pleaded guilty to attempting to rape the 24-year-old woman at his home in Cameron Way on May 15 last year.

After his shower, Lilley took the woman into his parents’ bedroom, said Mr Nicolson, who added: “She asked the accused if he would like a massage to which he replied, ‘No, I’m gonna get you pregnant’.”

Mr Nicolson said first offender Lilley suffered from “mild to moderate” learning difficulties and was considered “vulnerable and emotionally immature”.

Judge Lord Uist called for a background report and allowed Lilley to remain on bail pending sentence next month.
