Man reported after attack

A MAN has been reported to the procurator fiscal after a pensioner was attacked in his home in Loganlea Drive,  Craigentinny.

The 72-year-old, named locally as Dennis Gallen, suffered serious injuries to his face, back and torso and is being treated at the Royal Infirmary.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said that a 38-year-old man had been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the alleged serious assault.
