Man in hospital after being seriously assaulted in his home

A MAN has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged serious assault of a pensioner.

Police were called to Loganlea Drive in Restalrig shortly after 7am where they found a 72-year-old man had been attacked.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where injuries to his face, back and body are being treated.
