The man is in serious condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary
A MAN is being treated in hospital after being seriously hurt when he was struck by a car.
The 56-year-old was crossing Milton Road at the junction with Magdalene Drive last night when he was involved in a collision with a silver Renault Laguna.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.
Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident – which took place at around 7.40pm – to contact them.
Sergeant Roger Park said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and are keen to talk to anyone who may have been in Milton Road last night, and who may have seen what happened, to contact us.
“We know the area was quite busy around that time, so would also ask anyone who was there to call us on 0131 311 3131.”
