Man gets Asbo for making music racket

A MAN who allegedly threatened his neighbours and played loud music in his garden has been hit with an Asbo.

Ewan Woods received an interim antisocial behaviour order after complaints from his neighbours.

The 37-year-old, from Lindores Drive, Tranent, was given the order on June 18 at Haddington Sheriff Court after an application by East Lothian Council.

Council officials and police compiled a dossier of evidence against Mr Woods.

It was alleged in court that Mr Woods shouted and swore and was abusive or threatening towards his neighbours by holding parties and playing loud music in his home and garden from around August 2006.

Council housing leader Stuart Currie: "Through his inconsiderate behaviour Mr Woods has caused considerable upset to neighbours. Despite a number of warnings, Mr Woods was unwilling to modify his behaviour."
