Man charged with murder

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of pensioner Ronnie Simpson.

Keiryn Nisbet, 21, appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday and made no plea or declaration.

Nisbet, who lives in Armadale, West Lothian, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. His next appearance in court was set for next Tuesday.

Mr Simpson, 67, was found dead at his home in Mayfield Drive, Armadale on October 6.

A team of 40 police officers have been working on the  investigation.
