Man charged over thefts

A MAN has been charged over alleged break-ins and thefts from properties in west Edinburgh and West Lothian.

Quantities of gold and jewellery were stolen along with sums of cash and other personal belongings.

The 28-year-old was reported to the procurator fiscal and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on ­
Tuesday, where he was also facing charges relating to alleged fraud and road traffic offences.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in court again on December 18.
