Man arrested after sexual assault on boy, 4, in Asda toilet

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after allegations that a four-year-old was sexually abused in a supermarket toilet.

The incident is alleged to have taken place in a men’s toilet in a Clydebank branch of Asda.

The boy, who had been with his mother, had been given permission to go into the toilet on his own.

The incident happened within minutes of the boy entering the toilet, Strathclyde Police said. The boy reported the incident once he came out.

A spokeswoman for the supermarket giant said: “We have taken this report very seriously. We alerted the police and are supporting them fully in their investigation.”
