Lucky dozen get work lift

A DOZEN young people across East Lothian will be offered apprenticeships working on upgrading coastal paths and cycle routes after funding worth £280,000 was secured by the local authority.

The youths will gain accredited qualifications after completing the two-year project on the John Muir Way, which is paid for by the Coastal Communities Fund.

Councillor John McMillan, spokesman for economic development, said: “This project will be great for East Lothian’s tourism potential.”
