Lothian students cream of crop

STUDENTS from Edinburgh and the Lothians have scooped half of the top awards at an annual prize-giving ceremony at Oatridge College in West Lothian.

Five city students won awards, with West Lothian and Midlothian students scooping six more of the 22 prizes. It was the last annual prize-giving at Oatridge before it merges with Elmwood in Fife, Barony in Dumfries and the Scottish Agriculture College today.

Nearly 200 students were present to receive certificates, with 22 picking up “best student” awards from former England international rugby star Matt Dawson.
