Lothian pair celebrated in NHS report
TWO Lothian doctors have been celebrated in an NHS report detailing the skills involved in being a consultant.
Consultants in Scotland: At the Heart of Patient Care discusses the role of consultants in the health service, their unique combination of skills and determination and the satisfaction they gain from their work.
Lynn Myles, a consultant neurologist, and Gordon Scott, a consultant in genitourinary medicine, featured in the BMA Scotland report, published last week.
Miss Myles has been involved in the planning of a new clinical framework for neurosurgery in Scotland – a national initiative to improve patient access.
Dr Scott has made changes to staff training and the appointment system at his Capital clinic to help manage increasing demand.
