London mayor to be approached about investment in Capital
CITY leaders are to ask London's new Lord Mayor Nick Anstee to help Edinburgh overcome the economic downturn.
A new report said that there is scope to present Edinburgh's investment proposition to companies in London.
It is intended that a major investors' reception will be held by the city council in London to promote Edinburgh's ambitions.
Support for the event would be sought from Mr Anstee, Scottish Financial Enterprise, Scottish Development International London and embassy contacts.
The aim would be to encourage more London-headquartered companies to open offices in Edinburgh. Of Edinburgh's top 100 companies, 16 are headquartered in London.
