Library amen to Bible work

The National Library of Scotland is marking the 30th anniversary of the translation of the New Testament into Scots.

William Lorimer’s adaptation in 1983 marked a linguistic first and received praise in reviews from around the world.

The National Library will present a discussion between Lorimer’s granddaughter, Christina Lorimer, and novelist James Robertson. Michael Hance, director of the Scots Language Centre, will chair the event, on Thursday at 6pm.
