SILVER medal-winning paralympian Libby Clegg shows off her latest honour to pupils at her old stomping ground – the Royal Blind School. The 22-year-old sprinter was enrolled there in 2002 and the school has been been credited with giving her the confidence to excel in athletics despite almost losing her sight.

Libby boarded at the school’s main Craigmillar campus for six years. She has said that she had the school to thank for being spotted by UK Athletics aged 14.
