Lennox pulls out of Aids talk
MUSICIAN Annie Lennox has pulled out of her appearance at the Festival of Politics due to a health problem.
The singer had been due to appear at the Festival, which is held in the Scottish Parliament, to speak about her involvement in the fight against HIV/Aids in Africa.
Reports yesterday said the 53-year-old star was struck by a crippling back spasm at an Aids charity conference in Mexico City at the weekend.
The singer said: "Once I am back on my feet, it will be my imperative to come back up to Edinburgh at the earliest opportunity."
Those who have bought tickets to see Ms Lennox will be able to get a refund.
