HIBS striker Leigh Griffiths has been charged by police over an allegedly racist message sent on social media site Twitter.

Griffiths was arrested under the Communications Act following a police investigation of an alleged incident last month.

A police spokesman said: “A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged under the Communications Act in connection with an incident that happened on January 10.

“He has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.”
