POLITICIANS are to take to the rugby field when Scotland plays Australia at Murrayfield on November 6.
Scottish Rugby is to stage a game of tag rugby with teams of MSPs just before the 5.30pm kick-off.
Among those signed up for the event are Midlothian Labour MSP and Deputy Health Minister Rhona Brankin, Lothians Green MSP Mark Ballard and Jeremy Purvis, Lib Dem MSP for Tweeddale, Etrick and Lauderdale.
The event is intended to mark the opening of the new Holyrood parliament building.
And in addition to the MSPs’ match, Scottish Rugby has written to all 129 MSPs asking them to nominate ten of their constituents to receive a ticket to the game.
