Latin flavour for Napier's new partner
ONE of the Capital's universities has entered an agreement with Spanish bank giant Santander.
Santander will provide support over the next three years for the recruitment of postgraduate students from the 11 'Iberamerican' countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico.
Edinburgh Napier University students and staff will also be able to apply for grants to study or conduct research in those countries. And there will be fundingfor a PhD cross-cultural research project, and for enterprise awards.
Luis Juste, director for the UK and Portugal at Santander Universities, said: "We are keen to promote collaboration between universities and encourage students to develop an international outlook as part of their studies.
"Scotland is an attractive destination to overseas students, and we hope that this programme will help cement cross-cultural relationships and build partnerships for the future."
