Latest news: Man charged after suspicious death

A 64-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found in her house.

The body of Lillian Taylor, 42, was found by police officers called to the home in Laird Terrace in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, at 11pm last night.

Today the house was cordoned off while a forensic team combed the property for evidence.

A police spokeswoman said: "At about 11pm last night, police were called to a house in Bonnyrigg, where the body of a female was found.

"The 42-year-old's death is being treated as suspicious and a police investigation is ongoing."

The 64-year-old is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
