knifepoint

TWO robbers who held up a man at knifepoint and took his laptop were today being hunted by police.

The 37-year-old man was walking along Woodburn Avenue in Dalkeith when two men approached him and pulled knives before demanding his possessions.

The victim gave them his laptop, and both men made off southwards along Woodburn Avenue following the robbery, which took place between 7pm and 7.30pm on Friday.

One is described as white with a stocky build, fair hair and wearing a grey T-shirt and light-coloured jeans. The second is white with a thinner build, black hair and was wearing a black jacket and trousers.

A police spokesman said: “The victim was left very shaken after being threatened, and we are keen to speak with anyone who can help us identify those responsible.”
