Lady Provost's alternative home view
THE city's Lady Provost, Elizabeth Grubb, will experience a very different view of her home town of South Queensferry this weekend when she takes part in a daring charity abseil off the Forth Bridge.
The Lady Provost is among a team of five intrepid fundraisers preparing to abseil 165 feet freefall from the iconic bridge tomorrow afternoon in aid of Queensferry Care in the Community (QCCC).
Mrs Grubb said: "Doing this abseil is something of a personal challenge for me as I don't have the best head for heights. QCCC is a tremendous organisation providing invaluable support and care to some of the most vulnerable in our community.
"My own dear mum received care through QCCC twice a week and she constantly told me how wonderful the care was with such devoted staff and volunteers."
