Keith airs hunt for festive show soprano

A SEARCH is under way to find a young soprano star to perform solo at the Usher Hall.

An Evening Of Movies and Musicals at Christmas is set to sell out at the Lothian Road venue ahead of the show on November 24.

The show’s producers have now launched a competition to find a young singing sensation to join West End and Broadway stars Ruthie Henshall and John Owen Jones.

The talented youngster will perform the classic song Walking In The Air from The 
Snowman.

The piece will be narrated by Keith Jack, from Dalkeith, most famous for his reprisals of the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Keith will also hand-pick the finalists in the first of his official duties since becoming an official ambassador for children’s charity Aberlour. A percentage of the ticket sales will be donated to Aberlour.
