Judges overrule drugs conviction

A MAN who was held illegally by police has had his conviction for supplying drugs quashed.

Robert Young was convicted at Selkirk Sheriff Court last year. But the Appeal Court in Edinburgh ruled police should have cautioned or arrested him as they tried to find out if he had drugs hidden within his body.
