A CAPITAL firm has secured £250,000 to further its techonology aimed at clearing gully waste.

Apsu Environmental Limited, a waste water technology company based at Edinburgh Technopole, has teamed up with Edinburgh University to design and develop surface water filtration systems.

Their Tarp technology uses the recycled water to wash and refill gully trucks, while separating matter for reuse as road fill material. Materials such as leaf mould and twigs can be composted.
