LOTHIAN residents have been urged to take part in a campaign to raise funds for the 47,000 people living in the region with heart and circulatory disease.

The British Heart Foundation Scotland will hold its Rock Up In Red day – which sees workers or school pupils wear red for the day and make a donation to the charity – on February 1 as part of National Heart Month.

Heather Gregory, fundraising volunteer manager, said: “We are calling on people across the Lothians to put on their best red items and encourage their colleagues, friends and family to do the same and help support the nation’s heart charity by raising money.”

To order a free fundraising pack, visit bhf.org.uk/red or call 0300 330 0645.
