JK moving to Barnton home
HARRY Potter author JK Rowling is moving from her Merchiston home to a mansion in Barnton.
The relocation will see her leave the neighbourhood dubbed "Writers' Row", which is also home to Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall Smith.
Ms Rowling is said to have been drawn to the house for its security potential.
The previous owners are thought to have paid 500,000 for it before carrying out major improvements and originally asked for 3 million, yet recently dropped the figure to under 2m.
