Invitation to Youth Parly

YOUNG people in the Capital are being urged to stand for nomination as members of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

Nominations for election were opened this month – with any person aged 14 to 25 eligible to stand – and will be accepted until December 7.

The next SYP elections take place in March 2013.

Grant Costello, SYP chair, said: “At a time when more and more people are recognising 16-year-olds should have their say on national events, SYP gives them the chance to make a real difference in 
Scotland.”
