Instructor's 'irresponsible' driving lesson call
A DRIVING instructor who was seen making a phone call while he was giving a lesson was among the motorists caught using hand-held mobile phones since tougher penalties for the offence were introduced last month.
He was one of 129 people pulled over in the Central Scotland area during the first month of the new laws. Police branded the behaviour of the instructor "irresponsible".
On February 27, the maximum fixed penalty fine doubled to 60, with drivers also facing three penalty points.
