Info sought on 1700s cottage
A COMMUNITY group is appealing for information about a derelict 243-year-old cottage before it is demolished to make way for a hotel.
The Botanic Cottage in Leith Walk was the focal point of the 18th century Botanic Garden.
Archeologists from Glasgow University have been examining it, and it is hoped it can be removed and erected elsewhere.
The Botanic Cottage Project is gathering memories and running an open session at 2-4pm on Sunday in McDonald Road library.
