A round up of all the events taking place across Scotland to celebrate the nation’s armed forces

ABERDEEN

30 June - A parade will be held in the city on the same day as the main national celebrations are taking place in Plymouth.

ALLOA

27 June - The Clackmannanshire town will host a parade and flag raising ceremony.

CAMPBELTOWN

23 June - The Royal British Legion Scotland Campbeltown branch will hold a dance to mark the event.

DUNDEE

29 June - There will be music from 1st Battalion, Scots Guards, along with local Army cadet bands in the City Square in the evening

30 June - The celebrations continue with a parade, military displays, and entertainment.

EAST KILBRIDE

30 June - Ospreys Bar will hold a charity racenight in aid of Help for Heroes.

EDINBURGH

25 June - A flag raising ceremony will take place at the City Chambers.

30 June - The celebrations will see a parade of veterans from King Stables Road into Princes Street Gardens, followed by entertainment from military bands and Highland dancers.

GLASGOW

30 June - A parade will take place in the city centre, ending in the city’s George Square, where there will be music and dance performances, stalls, and assault courses for youngsters.

GREENOCK

23 June - A day of live music and entertainment will be held at Inverclyde Navy Club.

INVERNESS

21 July - Inverness will mark the day on the same date as its Highland Games, with a parade, music, and entertainment.

ROTHESAY

30 June - A gala day will be held in the seaside resort featuring stalls, entertainment, and displays.

STIRLING

23 June - A parade of serving personnel, veterans and cadets will travel from the city centre to Kings Park followed by an afternoon of entertainment, displays, and music.

STORNOWAY

30 June - A parade will commence at the Porters Lodge through the centre of Stornoway to the Royal British Legion premises on South Beach Street.

STRANRAER

30 June - A parade will make its way from the town centre to Agnew Park. The celebrations, which will have a 1940s theme, will also feature music from the era along with a Winston Churchill lookalike.
