Hunt after man foils mugger
POLICE are hunting a would-be thief who punched a man twice in the face while trying to steal his wallet.
The incident happened in Edinburgh at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, in Parkvale Place at its junction with Industrial Road, close to Leith Links. The 61-year-old victim was returning home when he was attacked. He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and treated for injuries.
The suspect is described as white, mid-20s, slim build, with short light brown hair and wearing blue tracksuit bottoms, and a dark-coloured hooded top.
