Horsebox crash causes road chaos

DRIVERS faced delays yesterday after a car and horsebox overturned on a motorway busy with bank holiday traffic.

The accident happened shortly before 11:30am on the southbound carriageway of the M77 at the Fenwick interchange.

Police set up road blocks as ambulance and rescue crews attended, and the horse was put on to another trailer. No injuries were reported, police said.
