Homes to get fuel bill help

More than 1600 households in the Capital are to be given free help to cut their energy bills this winter.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said £320,000 would be spent installing energy efficiency measures, such as loft and cavity insulation into homes across the city.

Ms Sturgeon said: “With temperatures dropping and colder weather beginning to bite, households will be worrying about their winter energy bills. That is why we have ploughed additional funds into the Universal Home Insulation Scheme.”
