Historians seek faces of the Battle of Bannockburn

HISTORIANS are seeking six people to become the faces of figures from the Battle of Bannockburn.

The selected volunteers will have their faces scanned and made into three-dimensional characters at the battle’s visitor centre in Stirling in time for its 700th anniversary in 2014.

Historic Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland said the characters, from Robert the Bruce’s and Edward II’s armies, would help visitors learn more about the weaponry, tactics and techniques involved in the battle, as well as the personal stories of the people who took part.
