Heriot-Watt profeesor takes Dubai-Malaysia role

A PROFESSOR at Heriot-Watt University has taken up a new role coordinating its international activities.

Professor Gillian Hogg, who has served as professor of marketing and head of the school of management and languages since 2007, has been named as the new deputy head of external relations.

She will be dealing with the university’s campus in Dubai’s Academic City and the new campus in Putajaya Malaysia. Professor Hogg said: “I am delighted to be taking on the challenges of this new position. Heriot-Watt’s international programme has a long and successful track record of international developments and an exciting on-going development strategy.”

The Dubai campus has more than 2500 students, while the Malaysia campus, open in December, will house 3000.
