Having bottle to go green
TEACHERS are winning bottles of vodka as a reward for walking, cycling or sharing a lift to school.
Knox Academy, in Haddington, is trying to promote environmentally-friendly transport with a free prize draw, with prizes including the locally brewed drink.
Local firms including The Trusty Crust, Scot's Cheer – which produces fruit vodka – Glenkinchie Distillery and Belhaven Brewery are supporting the scheme.
The number of cars in the school car park has been cut from an average of 73 to as low as 56.
