Gym sessions to help teens get in shape

A GYM programme for
teenagers has been launched at Queen Margaret University to help keep Lothians children occupied during the school holidays.

Children aged 12 to 15 will receive a full induction on their first visit by one of the
university’s fitness instructors, who will then create their very own personal exercise
programme to complete during each visit.

The Teen Gym programme will take place in the university sports centre until next Sunday, with a one-week pass costing £10.

Sarah MacDonald, sports manager at Queen Margaret University, said: “This is a great way for young people to commit to getting fit whilst also having fun and making new friends.”
